Wandering the Back Roads of the American West — capturing nature’s quiet wonders.

Our Story

We travel the back roads of the American West, filming and photographing remote landscapes far from the crowds.
Both of us are lifelong naturalists drawn to the solitude and beauty of the desert and high country. Connie has travelled widely and serves as a Docent at the Desert Museum in Arizona. Jack is a naturalist, mountaineer, and rock climber who has worked extensively in nature conservation in Africa.
Together, we explore, document, and share these wild places through art, writing, photography, and film — inviting others to slow down, listen, and reconnect with nature’s rhythm.

Why We Wander

Our goal is to bring the spirit of the West to others — especially those who can’t always travel its distances. Through our videos and stories, we hope to share the calm, wonder, and truth of nature’s vastness.

Behind the Lens & Easel

Jack captures both motion and stillness — from video footage of desert storms to detailed sketches and paintings of the Sonoran landscape. Connie brings insight and natural history knowledge, helping connect the visuals with the land’s deeper story.
